I am Mallory Johnson. I am in the process of receiving my Associate of Early Childhood Education at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural
College in Tifton Georgia. When I am done at ABAC I plan on transferring to Valdosta State University to finish up my bachelors
degree. Sometimes people ask me "WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A TEACHER?" well this is what I tell them. Ever since I was
just about 5 or 6 years old I have knew that I wanted to be a teacher it has not just been one of those things that hit me
one day! I often think back to the times when I was in elementary school and the teachers that I had. I just hope that one
day I can be as good of a teacher as some of them were. That is one of the things that makes me want to be a teacher. I always
thought that my teachers were so nice and I wanted to be like them when I grew up. Also I have always loved children and I
love to see them learn something new. Right now I work at the YMCA with the primetime program and I love my job and the experiences
that I get to have with the kids that I work with daily. I am glad that I am going to get to work for the rest of my working
time in life doing something that I love. Ok that is why I want to teach but here is a little about me in general. I am an
20 year old college student. I love my family and I actually like to spend time with them. I have lived in the small south
Georgia town of Moultrie all of my life. I really like it here and I plan on staying here for the rest of my life it is the
only place that I would want to call home. I also love football and that leads me to my favorite sports team the Georgia Bulldogs.
I have two White English Bulldogs just like UGA the mascot for the Bulldogs in case you are not a fan. So other than children,
small towns and football I also have other interests I love to be outdoors when it is cool in the fall, the water when it
is hot and most of all the BEACH in the summer time. When I am all finished with school I hope to have a large family of my
own.
